NetBeans Experience from a Beginners ViewPoint

August 23, 2013

ViewPoint ViewPoint ViewPoint ViewPoint ViewPoint ViewPoint ViewPoint . hahaha.

I have basic knowledge with java and have used the notepad++ as editor. The experience was fine and simple. The most important thing is that it  doesn't consumes a lot of memory and that's the only reason why I did not use IDE until just recently.

IDE means Integrated Development Environment. An Environment that is integrated for Development. I've read a lot of articles praising NetBeans and Eclipse and the competition that has been going on. Basically, they say:

  1. NetBeans is better for the beginners.
  2. Eclipse is better for big projects. Compiles and runs faster.
  3. NetBeans got a late start than Eclipse.
  4. lots of built in features in eclipse.

Im got basic knowledge with Java programming and web developing so I conclude to use NetBeans IDE for now. I experimented for a bit in the first day I installed the application.

    1. I tried compiling, debugging, building, and running my past programs.
    2. I created small java programs. Just clicking on the right area, I was able to package easily, create new files.
    3. Running some sampled java programs. some of these projects automatically download needed plugins, activate necessary services. neat.
    4. Im most impressed in the html/css/javascript environment provided.

Overall, easy to handle and adaptable to the users need.
